The Orthodox Christian Way

When considering the contemporary issues which confront us as Christians, our foundational Truth is always the Gospel of Christ Jesus. With all our struggles and challenges which we experience in this life, we strive to uplift them into a heart and mind illumined by the Gospel.  The Gospel, even as words, is best understood as 'sacrament' rather than as rational exposition or information. It is received spiritually and transforms and saves the one who truly hears and receives it. That work of transformation does not come as a process of consideration and decisions based on information. The gospel, like the sacraments, has a power within itself that itself is transformative. The gospel, rightly presented, is Christ Himself, Christ crucified. "For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light." (Ps 36:9)

From the peace, the truth, and the clarity of this Light, may all our actions in this fallen worldbe so illumined.
